Though July was a busy month for me doing video site audits and managing my agency’s new AI-optimized content service, I did manage to get a bit more work than I expected done on these sites.
As mentioned when I started these monthly updates, I’m publishing these new income reports on the last day of each month to get fresh data your way.
Plus, it helps keep me accountable to you…because we all know that I will procrastinate on getting these written up.
Also, I want to remind you that these Ezoic sites of mine are smaller sites, which means these monthly updates should be easier for new site builders to follow along with (as well as those of you who are building sites with limited time).
With these being my lower earning sites, they never really get the priority that they deserve.
But still, small amounts of work compound over time.
Note: The sites in this report are only a portion of my portfolio and not the only sites that bring in revenue.
**And as always, I’m an affiliate marketer and this post contains affiliate links, meaning I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my link.
Site 1: Food/Drink Niche
For July, this site got a total of 10 new posts up – all of them created by my AI-assisted content team.
In Google Analytics, traffic on this site is up almost 21% compared to the previous month, with the most increase in recent days.
I assume something positive is going on with all the algo turbulence we’re all noticing right now.
If you recall, I did a dumb experiment a few month’s back where I changed the domain name of this site and then hammered it with several aged domain 301 redirects.
Still haven’t removed those, so this rankings rise is an interesting development.
A less interesting development is that EPMV drop from $5.77 to $5.13.
And quick reminder, I enabled Humix on this site earlier in the year but didn’t upload any videos – instead I’m only earning from other people’s videos that show up on my site.
Here’s how much this site earned via Humix for the month –
You’ll notice that the Humix dashboard has some changes.
Here’s another little nifty screenshot showing monthly Humix earnings for this site –
Ooh, so fancy for such a paltry amount.
Anyways, more plays this month but less revenue as a result of the EPMV decline for July.
Here’s what the overall income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $10.83
- Amazon: $75.80
The affiliate content is using high converting Lasso product boxes.
And I used Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.
Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.
Site 2: Religion/Spirituality Niche
Like site #1 above, I managed to get 10 pieces of new content up on this site for the month of July.
Also like site #1, this site saw a nice boost in traffic for the month at just over 20% in Google Analytics.
And yes, it also saw the biggest rise in recent days.
What’s really shocking here is that the EPMV actually increased for this site from $3.35 to $3.75.
Super stoked to see that.
I also didn’t get around to making any new videos for this site’s YouTube channel or Humix.
Here’s how much this site earned from Humix with the two videos that I uploaded a few months ago –
Nice little revenue increase there over the previous month.
And here’s the breakdown by type of play –
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $23.41
- Amazon: $0.00
Still not really gotten any affiliate content up on this site cause it’s just a tricky one with things to promote.
Got some ideas though – just haven’t taken the time to implement.
And I used Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.
Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.
Plus, Ezoic balances are not finalized for ending month until the 4th of the following month. Just an FYI.
Site 3: Food/Drink Niche #2
Like site the sites above, I managed to get 10 pieces of new content up on this site for the month of July.
Noticing a trend here? 😉
But unlike the two sites above, this one is showing a 1.36% decline in sessions for the month.
Can’t win them all, eh?
And yup, that’s an EPMV drop right there.
A small one though – to $7.50 from $7.60.
I think this site is having some issues with link rot/decay, so I suspect some link building is in my future here.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
This makes zero sense with the EPMV drop and Google Analytics showing a traffic drop, but this site managed to earn more money this month.
- Ezoic: $12.45
- Amazon: $28.59
Though traffic was slightly down, those earnings are up!
The affiliate content is using high converting Lasso product boxes.
And I used Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.
Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.
Plus, Ezoic balances are not finalized for ending month until the 4th of the following month. Just an FYI.
Site 4: Tech/Gaming Niche
This site is no longer on Ezoic.
Site 5: Outdoors Niche
Yup, you guessed it, a total of 10 pieces of new content up on this site for the month of July.
Unfortunately, this site has taken quite the beating from all that SERPs volatility.
Looks like around July 5th is when the drop happened and the overall damage is down almost 20% in Google Analytics.
And it comes with the added bonus of an EPMV drop! (/end sarcasm font)
I think the reality here is that I’ve published a large amount of content and done zero link building in a relatively competitive niche.
That means link building needs to get prioritized.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $14.98
- Amazon: $7.15
So, that’s a drop in EPMV, a drop in traffic, AND a drop in revenue.
Site 6: Gardening Niche
Yup, you guessed it again, a total of 10 pieces of new content up on this site for the month of July.
Google Analytics is showing a 13.5% increase in sessions for the month, with the last few days showing the biggest increase.
Note that the EPMV appears to have dropped by more than a dollar, and that blows big time.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $220.42
- Amazon: $53.69
Despite the EPMV’s drop, the revenue from Ezoic ads increased with the site traffic increase.
Looking Ahead
Obviously, I didn’t manage to get enough content on site #6 to get the traffic numbers at my goal of 30,000 pageviews.
This is still a goal for me though.
Yup, I still need to work on a disavow file for site #3.
And I still need to get back to making videos for site #2.
And now I need to add link building to my list for sites #3 and #5.
Otherwise, I’ll just (hopefully) be focused on content creation.
If you want more details on how I use Ezoic’s Big Data Analytics to form my content strategies, check out this three-part case study.

Hey, I’m Shawna. I make a living working from my laptop in places like London, Sydney, Dubai, Rome, Oslo, Bangkok, Las Vegas, Barcelona, and Amsterdam. I share how I do some of that on this website.
Hi Shawna, thanks for the monthly update.
Without you, i wouldn’t have seen the changes to the Humix Dashboard. Helps a lot. I found that my videos make more money shared on other sites than they make on my own site. They also get about 10X more views there as on site and on Youtube.
Have a successful August.
